MIDDLE SCHOOL SPANISH
The Spanish Middle School Program at St. Joseph's school is designed to provide students the opportunity to take the first year of Spanish from the High School level. Throughout this academic year sixth grade students will cover the first half of Spanish I, designated Spanish Level I A. Seventh grade students will cover the second half of Spanish I, designated Spanish Level I B. Eight grade students will take a one year accelerated Spanish I program in order for them to be able to take the Spanish placement test this Spring, and test out of Spanish I.
The Spanish level I A and I B will embrace a balanced approach to every aspect of foreign language learning including conversational skills, listening and comprehension, reading and writing. In addition, the Spanish program will teach students about cultural aspects of the Spanish world.
